Default Helmet sticker help needed

We are getting Logan's helmet on Weds...........it is a clear plastic bivalve helmet---- Everyone has such beautiful decorations on their helmets----------where do you find the decals? What type of stickers work best? DO window decals work or regular stickers or vellum??

Thanks---I want him to have a COOL design----any ideas would be great!

We LOVED stickers for kaitlynn's helmets. We also used spray paint to make it different colors. The Stickers do tend to come off easily. We usually just picked one set we liked and then I sprayed it over with clear spray paint to help keep them on! Message or email me if you have any questions!!! amonthemess@aol.com

I use scrapbooking stickers for Sophie's helmet. The paper stickers don't work very well because they peel off so easily, look for the ones on a clear backing rather than a paper backing. Also anything with a raised embellishment doesn't stick very well either. We were not allowed to paint our helmet, but I did use clear finger nail polish a few times to make things stick better.
Michaels, Hobby Lobby, Target and even Wal-Mart have a lot of stickers that will work really good.
Let us know how it goes on Wednesday. I can't wait to see what cute options you come up with.

I've had excellent luck at Wal-Mart, actually... they have a pretty decent selection of the clear-backed stickers (like Tessa said), at about half the price of Joann's. I think they're called "Sticko" brand. We weren't forbidden from painting ours, but I think the transparency helped a great deal when it came to fitting it properly.

Stickers do eventually come off, but that's kind of the fun of it. Every few weeks, we just changed it up...

We also use plastic stickers and we get them from Michaels. Target occasionally has some. I'm always on the hunt. I find it helps break the ice with people. They can comment on the stickers which inevitably leads into questions about the helmet. I like it. I've done a line of ants and I have paw prints that I'm going to do next. Currently we are sporting monkeys with bananas! :-)
