She looks amazing! WOW!

I see the dent, was there padding back there on her helmet? We had an issue the first week in the helmet some padding caused a dent on her temples but they took the padding out and one week later the dent was gone, but I didn't think she had extra padding on the sides of Calina's? Any feedback on what that is or why? I bet she'd never notice it and no one other than a cranio mom or dad would either.

Definitely no padding back there... that's the area we're trying to get to grow. Just seems to be lagging behind in that one spot. They told us it's normal, but having the "void" in the helmet there should pop it out eventually... dunno!

hi melanie....my daughter audrey had the same issue with a small spot of her head was still flat after wearing the helmet. i brought it to the orthotist, pediatrician and neurosurgeon's attention and each one said that it would pop out over time, even once she was out of the helmet. she's been out of the helmet for nine months and the spot is no longer there....they were right...her head continues to round itself out! give it time...you'll be surprised!
by the way love the design!!

She looks fantastic and I think her head has a very nice roundness to it. They keep warning me that as soon as we take off the helmet for good this kiddos are going to have some relapse. Calina looks like she has plenty of room to relapse after the helmet is taken off. I'm really happy for you guys!

It's annoying because I keep getting really mixed messages about the degree of regression. Seems like they just don't know what will happen when she's done with the helmet (April 5th, by the way!) Her surgeon seems to think it'll be only a couple of percentage points at the worst, but I heard from my orthotist that Dr. Jimenez just upped his protocol from 12 months of helmet therapy to 18 months, because his patients were regressing more than he wanted. So, who knows? I'll just be happy to be done with it. Her head looks good enough that if she heads back longways, she'll still look great, so I'm happy.
